Solar Panel Project

A school project designed around a greenhouse and garden with the aim of bringing sustainable energy into the garden. I brought the project to life and found multiple use-cases for the project, making my own contributions to a net-zero emissions circular garden.

During the winter, the system powers a temperature regulation system consisting of a 2000W heater. This makes the greenhouse a suitable environment to grow various plants year-round.

During the summer, an automatic watering system is implemented for the entire garden and a 700W pressurization pump, timer systems, and a lane-switching system are all powered by the solar panel.

This is one of the largest projects that I have done and the outcome of which I am very proud of.

A beautiful parabola showing power coming from the solar panel throughout the 24 hours of the day, as the sun rises and sets. On the best days, power generation comes close to 2 kW of energy directly from the panel allowing for 1 kW of continuous power draw for all 24 hours.
